Somebody could tell me if the fuser sleeve for the 5L, 1100, 4100,..... are available at HP? Could you give me the parts # please?

I need only the sleeve, not all the fusing assy for all this model.


And for the 5L the fusing assy part # he's RG5-1964-020CN available in US and Canada.

No parts listed


LJ 4100:

Pressure Roller: RB2-4919-000cn

Fuser Film Assy: RG5-5068-000cn

LJ 1100:

Pressure Roller: RF5-2823-000cn

Hi again!

Well, thanks HOBART for the part # for the fuser plastic film for the 4100, this is what i look for, but when i search for this # he said look for an other, and an other, then the final # i got is the Fuser Assy # for this model, and i look only for the (film, sleeve, plastic thing) I could have it from a third party, but i look if HP have a # for it.

Hi Jay,

The problem is HP don't really break down assemblies like fusers, they just supply the whole unit - saves alot of time in repair...

HP only supply refurblished (or new) fuser assembly unit in this part of the world.

There are some 3rd party supplier who produce fuser sleeve( some claims original ).

I have done a few replacement of fuser sleeve with mixed results.

∩ What is Fuser Fixing Film?
We put this film to fix toner material to paper or another
substrate completely. Especially for Laser Printer & Copier which
has Canon & HP engine base. To fix toner to paper completely, we
need very stable film at high temperature.
Additionally we need a film which rise up to high temperature very
quickly.


1. What role does film do?

Fuser fixing film heats up very quickly by hot coil
-> Fuser fixing film emits heat to toner on paper
-> Toner is stuck by heat(To fix toner on paper completely)


2. Layer structure of Film
Polyimide 1
Polyimide 2
Teflon 1
Teflon 2

Total 4 Layers & very stable at high temperature(230‘C)
Total thickness is about 65Л

4. How to replace Fuser Fixing Film
-> Remove used fuser fixing film from film assembly.
-> Clean heating parts with alcohol.
-> Remove used grease from the grease container.
-> Supplement the surface of heating parts with grease
-> Spread grease over the surface of heating parts evenly.
-> Slide fuser fixing film over the surface of heating parts.
