We are trying to get a print driver that will output data from an application to our Datacard blue card embosser. The application uses Crystal Reports. Datacard only makes a driver that works for local printers, whereas our application is Terminal Server. We've tried using the Windows generic text printer but it has only worked occasionally. If we use the Crystal export feature and export the text output to a text file and then print, the embosser will function. Going direct from Crystal to the embosser however, causes something not to work.
Question: would the Miraplaid print driver be a possible solution. We suspect the Crystal Reports engine and the Windows generic print driver just don't like each other.
